In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting High Plains Storm basketball team scored a close 48-45 triumph over the Meridian Mustangs.

The Storm (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against East Butler (Brainard, NE). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, East Butler was tipped by McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE), 44-30, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Osceola Bulldogs (Osceola, NE) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. Meridian will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 8-9 record after their 57-47 non-league loss to Bruning-Davenport/Shickley (Bruning, NE).
