Vermont High School Basketball - North Country Union triumphant over Montpelier
February 4, 2025: Newport, VT 05855 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT) and the visiting Montpelier Solons (Montpelier, VT), observed North Country Union's basketball team overwhelm Montpelier by a margin of 72-13.
The Falcons (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Peoples Academy (Morrisville, VT). The Wolves come into the Capital challenge with a 14-4 record. In their last challenge, Peoples Academy was trounced by Lamoille (Hyde Park, VT), 39-32, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Solons battle the Harwood Highlanders (Moretown, VT) in a Capital challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Montpelier will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 58-34 league loss to Oxbow (Bradford, VT).
