Louisiana High School Basketball - Ouachita Parish ripped by Ruston
February 6, 2024: Ruston, LA 71270 The Ruston Bearcats basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Ouachita Parish Lions to 36 in the Bearcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bearcats now sport a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Monroe for a 5A District 2 contest on Friday, February 9. Ruston will battle a Rebels team coming off a 58-55 non-league loss to Rayville (Rayville, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 13-10.
The Lions (15-16) will now prepare for their contest against Alexandria (Alexandria, LA). The Trojans enter the 5A District 2 contest with a 18-10 record. In their last contest, Alexandria was routed by Carroll (Monroe, LA), 64-49, in a non-league contest.
