The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) and the visiting Flanagan-Cornell Falcons (Flanagan, IL), observed Lexington's basketball team overwhelm Flanagan-Cornell by a score of 76-55.

The Minutemen (20-7) will now prepare for their battle against El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Titans enter the Heart of Illinois battle with a 13-12 record. In their last battle, El Paso-Gridley was crushed by Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL), 96-69, in a non-league battle.

The Falcons now own a 6-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Earlville for a non-league battle on Monday, February 9. Flanagan-Cornell will meet a Red Raiders squad coming off a 72-27 non-league loss to Leland (Leland, IL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 1-22.
