February 7, 2023: Asheboro, NC 27203 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) and the visiting Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC), saw Asheboro's basketball squad overcome Ledford by a tally of 48-37.
With the victory, Asheboro improves its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Blue Comets travel to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to confront the Timberwolves in a 3A Conference 47 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a record of 3-20. Montgomery Central lost 92-57 in their recent league challenge against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC)
Next up, the Panthers confront the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a 3A Conference 47 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Ledford will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 63-60 league loss to Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).
