Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR), 63-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Santiam upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Culver Bulldogs (Culver, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Friday, February 10. Gervais will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-19 record after their 68-24 league loss to Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR).
