The Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE) basketball nipped the host Omaha Central Eagles (Omaha, NE), 71-69 in Friday's league test.

The Thunderbirds (18-1) will now prepare for their test against Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, KS). The Buffaloes go into the non-league test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Sunrise Christian Academy got by McCallie (Chattanooga, TN), 65-49, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Omaha North for a A District TBD test on Saturday, February 10. Omaha Central will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 76-37 league win over Buena Vista (Omaha, NE). The Vikings record now stands at 16-2.
