North Carolina High School Basketball - Butler tops Charlotte Catholic
February 9, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28226 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) and the host Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC), saw Butler's basketball squad knock off Charlotte Catholic by a count of 58-46.
With the victory, Butler upgrades its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 3-19. Cuthbertson lost 64-30 in their recent league challenge against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
Next up, the Cougars play the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Charlotte Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 57-54 league loss to Independence (Charlotte, NC).
