Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Calloway County Lakers (Murray, KY) and the visiting Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY), saw Calloway County's basketball squad hold off Marshall County by a count of 58-53.

With the victory, Calloway County upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Hopkinsville (Hopkinsville, KY) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 10. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 9-14. Hopkinsville lost 81-79 in their recent league challenge against University Heights (Hopkinsville, KY)
