The South Sumter Raiders softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Vanguard Knights to 7 in the Raiders non-league win on Thursday.

The Raiders now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Citrus for a non-league battle on Friday, March 14. South Sumter will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Vanguard moves to 3-5 on the season. The Knights host South Sumter (Bushnell, FL) to confront the Raiders in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 25. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 7-3.
