In Wednesday's league game, the host St. Stephens Indians baseball team scored a nice 13-3 win over the Freedom Patriots.

The Indians (8-1) will now prepare for their game against McDowell (Marion, NC). The Titans go into the Northwestern 6A/7A game with a 3-4 record. In their last match, McDowell was overwhelmed by Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC), 12-2, in a league match.

The Patriots now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maiden for a non-league match on Thursday, March 19. Freedom will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Foard (Newton, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-3.
