The Freedom Patriots baseball squad (Morganton, NC), was overwhelmed 10-1 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC)

With the triumph, St. Stephens moves its record to 14-5 on the season. The Indians host McDowell (Marion, NC) to confront the Titans in a Northwestern 6A/7A contest on Friday, April 17. The Titans enter the bout with a record of 5-11. McDowell lost 11-0 in their recent league bout against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)

The Patriots (7-11) will now prepare for their bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans enter the Northwestern 6A/7A bout with a 15-4 record. In their last bout, South Caldwell achieved victory over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 12-2, in a non-league bout.
