In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) baseball squad walloped the visiting North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC), by a final score of 11-4.

With the triumph, Laney moves its record to 10-2 on the season. The Buccaneers host West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to confront the Trojans in a Carolina Coast 6A/7A/8A contest on Thursday, April 2. The Trojans come into the battle with a record of 6-7. West Brunswick won 9-8 in their recent non-league battle against Green Level (Cary, NC)

Next, the Scorpions face the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 2. North Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 7-3 record after their 8-1 league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC).
