Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), 20-0 in a league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tiverton for a Division 2 A challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Prout will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 7-6 league win over Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Rogers falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Westerly (Westerly, RI) to battle the Bulldogs in a Division 2 A challenge on Friday, April 15. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Westerly won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Middletown (Middletown, RI)
