In Friday's league game, the host Metro Tech Knights baseball team scored a close 7-4 win over the North Mustangs.

The Knights (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ). The Prospectors go into the non-league game with a 2-9 record.

Next, the Mustangs play the Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) in a 5A Metro game, on Monday, April 6. North will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Stampede go into the game with a 3-11 record after their 12-2 league loss to McClintock (Tempe, AZ).
