Texas High School Softball - Mount Vernon bounces Chisum

April 7, 2026: Paris, TX 75462

In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Mount Vernon Tigers softball team scored a nice 13-3 victory over the Chisum Mustangs.

The Tigers (16-9) will now prepare for their match against Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Buffaloes go into the 3A Region II District 12 match with a 9-16 record. In their last match, Lone Oak was routed by Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX), 10-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 match, on Friday, April 10. Chisum will attempt to better on its 13-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the match with a 12-6 record after their 6-1 league win over Commerce (Commerce, TX).
