Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Nighthawks clash with the Shelton Gaels (Shelton, CT) in a South-West match, on Monday, May 16. Newtown will attempt to advance on its 12-5 season record. The Gaels come into the match with a 9-5 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Cheshire (Cheshire, CT).

With the loss, Oxford drops to 5-13 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Hand (Madison, CT) to clash with the Tigers in a South-West match on Monday, May 16.
