Iowa High School Softball - Williamsburg bounces Independence
May 20, 2024: Independence, IA 50644 Williamsburg Raiders (Williamsburg, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA), 13-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Vinton-Shellsburg for a WaMaC-West game on Wednesday, May 22. Williamsburg will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 15-2 league loss to Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 21. Independence will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
