West Virginia High School Baseball - Capital defeats South Charleston
May 5, 2025: Charleston, WV 25311 The Capital Cougars baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting South Charleston Black Eagles to 2 in the Cougars league win on Monday.
The Cougars now own a 5-14 record. They take the field next when they host Poca for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 6. Capital will play a The Dots team coming off a 20-12 non-league win over Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The The Dots record now stands at 5-18.
With the defeat, South Charleston drops to 9-15 on the year. The Black eagles host St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV) to play the Irish in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 7. The Irish go into the test with a record of 20-5. St. Joseph Central won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH)
