The Downers Grove South Mustangs softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Willowbrook Warriors to 5 in the Mustangs league win on Monday.

The Mustangs now possess a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Proviso East for a West Suburban - Gold battle on Wednesday, May 7. Downers Grove South will confront a Pirates team coming off a 16-1 league loss to Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 1-14.

With the loss, Willowbrook moves to 12-8 on the season. The Warriors travel to York (Elmhurst, IL) to confront the Dukes in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 8. The Dukes come into the battle with a record of 13-9. York lost 5-3 in their recent league battle against Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL)
