Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA), 6-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Clear Lake upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Central Springs (Manly, IA) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Tuesday, June 10. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-2. Central Springs won 23-3 in their recent league game against Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA)

The Gaels now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Algona for a North Central game on Wednesday, June 11. St. Edmond will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-6 league win over Webster City (Webster City, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-3.
