July 2, 2025: Huxley, IA 50124 The Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) baseball got by the visiting Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), 9-8 in Wednesday's league challenge.
The Bombers now own a 24-7 record. They take the field next when they host Norwalk for a non-league challenge on Thursday, July 3. Ballard will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-14.
With the defeat, Carlisle drops to 14-8 on the year. The Wildcats host Indianola (Indianola, IA) to clash with the Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, July 3. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 26-5. Indianola won 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Urbandale (Urbandale, IA)
