In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Crown Point Bulldogs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Chesterton Trojans.

The Bulldogs (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN). The Pirates come into the Duneland challenge with a 3-2 record.

The Trojans now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Munster for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 19. Chesterton will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-3.
