Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN) boosters were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lowell (Lowell, IN). The Red Devils go into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Lowell nudged South Bend Riley (South Bend, IN), 2-1, in a non-league game.
