Georgia High School Softball - Rome bounces New Manchester

August 21, 2025: Rome, GA 30161

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Rome Wolves (Rome, GA) and the visiting New Manchester Jaguar (Douglasville, GA), observed Rome's softball team notch a victory over New Manchester by a tally of 12-4.

The Wolves (4-1) will now prepare for their bout against Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Rebels go into the non-league bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Fannin County was routed by Dade County (Trenton, GA), 8-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Jaguar battle the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) in a 5A Region 5 contest, on Tuesday, August 26. New Manchester will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 2-6 record after their 9-2 non-league loss to Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA).
