In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Independence Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Bluefield Beavers.

The Patriots (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Princeton (Princeton, WV). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Princeton achieved victory over Ripley (Ripley, WV), 2-0, in a league battle.
