The Independence Patriots topped the visiting Liberty Raiders volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Patriots now have a 19-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nicholas County for a Mountain State test on Saturday, October 7. Independence will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 2-0 league win over Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 7-24.

The Raiders (14-18) will now prepare for their test against PikeView (Princeton, WV). The Panthers enter the non-league test with a 1-25 record. In their last test, PikeView was knocked off by Nicholas County (Summersville, WV), 2-0, in a league test.
