Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Phoenix clash with the Armuchee Indians (Rome, GA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 31. Sonoraville will attempt to advance on its 7-9 season record. The Indians come into the match with a 12-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Model (Rome, GA).

With the loss, Northwest Whitfield drops to 6-10 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA) to clash with the Lions in a non-league match on Thursday, August 31.
