West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, West Anchorage advances its record to 2-11 on the season. The Eagles host Chugiak (Chugiak, AK) to face the Mustangs in a 4A Cook Inlet test on Wednesday, September 3. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 13-2. Chugiak won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Colony (Palmer, AK)

The Thunderbirds now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dimond for a 4A Cook Inlet test on Thursday, September 4. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will face a Lynx squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Lynx record now stands at 0-3.
