In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Elkin Buckin' Elks.

The Golden Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles come into the Foothills 2A battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Wilkes Central was edged by North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
