The Mt. Zion Braves volleyball squad (Mt. Zion, IL), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Unity Christian Lions (Decatur, IL)

With the win, Unity Christian improves its record to 11-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL) to meet the Bombers in a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Tuesday, September 16. The Bombers enter the challenge with a record of 6-10. Argenta-Oreana lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Heyworth (Heyworth, IL)

Next, the Braves meet the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) in a Apollo challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Mt. Zion will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Greenwave enter the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL).
