Fans at Monday's league contest between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), observed Watauga's volleyball team top Alexander Central by a count of 3-0.

The Pioneers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers enter the Northwestern 3A/4A contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Hibriten was knocked off by Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.
