In Wednesday's league match, the host Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks softball team scored a nice 9-1 win over the Lincoln Northeast Rockets.

With the triumph, Lincoln Southwest upgrades its record to 16-1 on the year. The Silver Hawks travel to Staley (Kansas City, MO) to play the Falcons in a non-league game on Friday, September 19. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 1-3. Staley lost 6-3 in their recent league game against Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO)

In their next game, the Rockets confront the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs (Papillion, NE) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. Lincoln Northeast will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Monarchs come into the match with a 16-6 record after their 6-3 league loss to Bellevue East (Bellevue, NE).
