Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) and the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), saw Starmount's volleyball squad nudge Elkin by a score of 3-2.

With the win, Starmount improves its record to 9-6 on the season. The Rams travel to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC) to encounter the Greyhounds in a non-league battle on Monday, September 22. The Greyhounds go into the battle with a record of 9-4.

The Buckin' Elks now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Stokes for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. Elkin will meet a Sauras team coming off a 3-0 league win over College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 10-5.
