Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Portal Panthers (Portal, GA), 31-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Metter advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a A D2 Region 3 battle on Friday, September 26. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Emanuel County Institute won 30-12 in their recent league battle against Bryan County (Pembroke, GA)

The Panthers now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Savannah for a A D2 Region 3 battle on Friday, September 26. Portal will play a Bluejackets squad coming off a 28-6 league loss to Metter (Metter, GA). The Bluejackets record now stands at 0-3.
