Fans at Friday's league contest between the Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) and the host Jersey Village Falcons (Houston, TX), observed Memorial's volleyball team top Jersey Village by a tally of 3-0.

The Mustangs (19-10) will now prepare for their contest against Stratford (Houston, TX). The Spartans enter the 6A Region III District 17 contest with a 17-12 record. In their last contest, Stratford beat Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Falcons meet the Cypress Creek Cougars (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 contest, on Tuesday, September 30. Jersey Village will attempt to upgrade on its 19-15 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 22-15 record after their 3-0 league win over Northbrook (Houston, TX).
