Valley Center Hornets (Valley Center, KS) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Derby Panthers (Derby, KS), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Valley Center advances its record to 11-11 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Hutchinson (Hutchinson, KS) to confront the Salthawks in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I game on Tuesday, September 30. The Salthawks go into the game with a record of 12-7. Hutchinson won 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Great Bend (Great Bend, KS)

The Panthers (9-11) will now prepare for their game against Hutchinson (Hutchinson, KS). The Salthawks go into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I game with a 12-7 record. In their last outing, Hutchinson edged Great Bend (Great Bend, KS), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
