Maryland High School Basketball - Thomas Stone succumbs to Huntingtown

January 15, 2025: Waldorf, MD 20601

In Wednesday's league test, the Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) basketball squad defeated the host Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD), by a final score of 68-56.

Next, the Hurricanes clash with the Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD) in a Southern Maryland test, on Friday, January 17. Huntingtown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 1-12 record after their 60-25 league loss to North Point (Waldorf, MD).

The Cougars (3-7) will now prepare for their test against Chopticon (Morganza, MD). The Braves come into the Southern Maryland test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Chopticon overcame McDonough (Pomfret, MD), 61-58, in a league test.
