The Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) basketball crushed the host Upper Scioto Valley Rams (McGuffey, OH), 52-25 in Thursday's league test.

The Comets (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Perry (Lima, OH). The Commodores go into the Northwest Central test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Perry was trounced by Allen East (Harrod, OH), 58-32, in a non-league test.

The Rams now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Arcadia for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Upper Scioto Valley will encounter a Redskins squad coming off a 52-32 league win over Vanlue (Vanlue, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 15-3.
