The Midland Trail Patriots basketball team (Hico, WV), dropped 38-29 in Thursday's league battle with the host Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV)

The Tigers now possess a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to James Monroe for a non-league battle on Monday, January 16. Shady Spring will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 61-34 league win over River View (Bradshaw, WV). The Mavericks record now stands at 9-3.
