Illinois High School Basketball - Wilmington knocked off by Herscher

The Herscher Tigers basketball team scored 33 points and held the host Wilmington Wildcats to 21 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coal City for a Illinois Central 8 contest on Saturday, December 16. Herscher will meet a Coalers team coming off a 52-23 non-league win over Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 9-1.

The Wildcats (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lisle (Lisle, IL). The Lions enter the Illinois Central 8 contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Lisle ran past Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL), 74-39, in a non-league contest.
