The Herscher Tigers basketball team (Herscher, IL), was toppled 34-24 in Thursday's league battle with the host Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL)

The Comets now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Peotone for a Illinois Central 8 battle on Monday, December 11. Reed-Custer will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 47-16 league win over Streator (Streator, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-3.

The Tigers (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Clifton Central (Clifton, IL). The Comets come into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Clifton Central beat Donovan/St. Anne (Donovan, IL), 51-27, in a league battle.
