California High School Basketball - Chavez holds off Taft

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chavez Titans (Delano, CA) and the host Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), saw Chavez's basketball squad hold off Taft by a tally of 59-52.

With the victory, Chavez improves its record to 20-7 on the campaign. The Titans host Kennedy (Delano, CA) to confront the Thunderbirds in a South Sequoia challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 17-9.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Wasco Tigers (Wasco, CA) in a South Sequoia challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Taft will attempt to improve on its 10-14 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-17 record after their 64-54 league loss to Delano (Delano, CA).
