Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) and the host Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), witnessed Taft's basketball squad nip Shafter by a margin of 67-63.

The Wildcats (8-13) will now prepare for their outing against Wasco (Wasco, CA). The Tigers go into the South Sequoia outing with a 6-13 record. In their last outing, Wasco was tipped by McFarland (McFarland, CA), 58-55, in a league outing.
