California High School Basketball - Taft can't hold off Kennedy

January 3, 2023: Delano, CA 93215

The Kennedy Thunderbirds basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Taft Wildcats to 66 in the Thunderbirds league victory on Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Delano for a South Sequoia contest on Thursday, January 5. Kennedy will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-50 non-league loss to Pioneer Valley (Santa Maria, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-11.

The Wildcats (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Shafter (Shafter, CA). The Generals come into the South Sequoia contest with a 6-11 record. In their last contest, Shafter was nudged by Chavez (Delano, CA), 63-57, in a league contest.
