Ohio High School Basketball - East Knox can't hold off Elgin

December 23, 2021: Marion, OH 43302

The Elgin Comets basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting East Knox Bulldogs to 46 in the Comets non-league victory on Thursday.

The Comets now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benjamin Logan for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 4. Elgin will battle a Raiders team coming off a 62-37 non-league loss to Shawnee (Springfield, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 0-7.

The Bulldogs (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Centerburg (Centerburg, OH). The Trojans come into the Knox Morrow contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Centerburg edged Fredericktown (Fredericktown, OH), 60-43, in a league contest.
