The Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL), 49-40 in Saturday's league test.

The Dragons (10-13) will now prepare for their test against Canton (Canton, IL). The Little Giants go into the Mid-Illini test with a 20-7 record. In their last test, Canton notched a victory over Dunlap (Dunlap, IL), 59-43, in a league test.

The Redbirds now own a 10-17 record. They play next when they travel to Limestone for a Mid-Illini contest on Tuesday, January 30. Metamora will battle a Rockets team coming off a 57-42 league loss to Morton (Morton, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 10-15.
