In Tuesday's league outing, the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX), by a margin of 56-42.

The Sabercats (27-5) will now prepare for their outing against Pioneer (Mission, TX). The Diamondbacks go into the 5A Region IV District 31 outing with a 18-12 record. In their last outing, Pioneer defeated Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX), 68-44, in a league outing.
