DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), 69-50 in a league bout.

With the win, DeMatha upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Stags travel to St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD) to play the Knights in a Washington Catholic bout on Thursday, December 22. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-6. St. Mary's Ryken lost 58-54 in their recent non-league bout against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD)

Next up, the Falcons play the Hillside Hornets (Durham, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 46-43 non-league win over Rolesville (Rolesville, NC).
