The Kendrick Cherokees softball team scored 24 runs and limited the host Southwest Patriots to 14 in the Cherokees league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Kendrick improves its record to 2-11 on the year. The Cherokees travel to Rutland (Macon, GA) to clash with the Hurricanes in a 2A Region 2 game on Tuesday, October 4. The Hurricanes come into the game with a record of 12-7. Rutland lost 12-0 in their recent league game against Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA)

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) in a 2A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, October 4. Southwest will attempt to improve on its 0-13 season record. The Gryphons come into the game with a 24-2 record after their 9-1 non-league win over West Hall (Oakwood, GA).
